I read about it about a month ago. It is called PAN (Powerline Area Network) and I think it is supposed to run at 600mbs downstream (not sure upstream). The article I was reading didn't make it sound like it was going to be out this soon though.
Can someone give me the web address that tells what all the intel procs stepping is and what the code is for that stepping? I can't find it on their page...okay I'm lazy. Thx
Make sure everything is plugged in correctly and all the cords are plugged in. I know this sounds dumb but double check it. Also make sure your proc is set all the way in the slot. Does your puter make any sounds at all when you start up?
Go with the 700E. I run mine at 1008 and it is very stable. The 750 might even be better but I haven't tried it at all. The 700e is a pretty popular proc to o/c.
I bought my alpha p3125 from inflowdirect.com and it came with everything to connect it to the proc. If you want a better heatsink then go with this one. You might be able to find it cheaper somewhere else. If you do get it there then make sure you upgrade the fans to the Delta fans.

Okay...the linksys router might not be the best choice. Here is my other question. Can you just use the "Internet connection sharing" through Win98se? I have done it with Dial-up connections and it has worked fine and someone told me I can do it with DSL too? Is that true?
This is the one I am looking at off buy.com ETHERFAST CBL/DSL ROUTER 1 PORT 10/100 VERSION For now I will only have two puters on the network but want to have room to add more later. I have a 4-port hub already so would this work then? Do I still need a DSL modem or do I just run a network...
I want to share DSL between two puters and want to know if I need a router and a hub or does the router work as the hub? The DSL is through CenturyTel and they are charging $170 for it. I found a Linksys one online for $88. Can I use that one or are their routers "special" to their...
Make sure that the cable is not upsidedown and also try using a different cable if that doesn't work. I had this same problem and it turned out to be [cough cough] the first thing I said.
