It's been close to 4+ years since I build my rig. But i'm thinking to transition to a single card solution w/o dealing CFX or SLI.
First my specs:
CPU: I7 4790K (stock settings)
Mobo: Biostar Hi-Fi Z97WE
RAM: Team Vulcan 1600 DDR3 ( 2 x 8 gb )
GPU: Sapphire Trixxx R290 x 2
PSU: Coolmax 1000w...
phew! 2 weeks already and just finished assembling everything together what a beauty. I'll be uploading the software later in the day after I get some sleep. The 2 r 290s tri x are humongous.
Everything arrived so far, I'm waiting for the motherboard now...Hard to believe that it's been almost 4-5 years from my 1st official gaming rig! pretty excited. I had lifted one of the new video cards, they are heavy without a doubt.
I will have to return it unfortunately, New egg rep was very helpful and I can have refund w/o re-stocking fee + free shipping table. I had to be absolutely sure what i'm paying for is what it is says haha

If you're in a rush there's nothing to stop you from getting one. Alot of the folks here are trying to help ya getting the best bang for your buck. If all else fails, you'll just be better off browsing custom pre-builts and bite the bullet.
