btw:
kyro 1 have the same performance as any MX400...
I think they are cheaper than the mx400 . right?
not forgetting the increase in quality output you would get with any kyro.
2d and 3d....
"most 3d games in the past 6 months that i have seen have had T&L support"
I was talking about those GAMES!!!
"at lower resolutions, the mx400 is not nearly as crippled by it's SDR architecture, and it is able to achieve very good scores (better than a kyro II in a lot of cases). "
yeah
sure...
"most 3d games in the past 6 months that i have seen have had T&L support, and i couldn't imagine any 3d games of the future not having it. the kyro II is a dead end."
I wonder why I can play every single one of those games at 1280x1024x32 with more than 60 fps...
I wonder....
yes I have an...
do you think that good drivers can get mx400 playable at 1024x768x32..
well it doesn't.
MX400 lack bandwidth to do T&L... T&L needs lots of bandwidth power and mx400 doesn't have any of those...
it lack enough bandwidth to get playable fps at normal resolutions 1024x768x32....
kyro 2 have both...
hum...
well.... nvidia drivers are not that great..
ati drivers are also great
like kyro 2 drivers (my last kyro drivers don't have a week of life)
you will get something superior if you go non-nvidia... and cheaper....
yeah!!!!
now they will sell ati and kyro boards...
nvidia is hurting manufactures like 3dfx did with the STB deal (in a different way), nvidia want to control what the manufactures sell...
that is very very annoying for manufactures like hercules...
"Btw Powervr, you obviously have a prejudice against Nvidia products (your name kind of gives it away )!
You don't get to become the Graphic Card industry leader by selling boards with poor stability and bad driver support. As a matter of fact the driver support of Nvidia cards is much better...
driver quality and stability...
nvidia doesn't have any of those...
nvidia boards are allways tested and they (software houses) will never sell a game with some bug for these cards...
these have nothing to do with good quality drivers...
what are good quality drivers?
example:
without any...
man for me it's not decent..
yap you are doing a nice job for nvidia... I agree, the problem is the guys who make software are entering a "forbidden zone" this is not ethical!
when they optimize for nvidia they will end up optimizing for every other card out there...(not exactly but most of the...
I saw this here www.paraknowya.com
Kyro III reaching developers
I have just been playing Empire Earth for the past few hours. While taking a break and checking my mail, I though I would take a quick look at the readme file. What?s this I see.
?Supported Video Cards*...
3dmark IS the decision maker of most of video card boards buyers...
I guess they (madonion) are BIASED towards nvidia...
so I guess we must dump 3dmark series on the trash.... don't you agree?
to leon :
I guess you don't agree with me... and you are one of those that want a nvidia world with 2000 us $ video boards for the elite..(preferebly with a 5 year cycle)
;)
to BFG :
yah...
I am glad you agree with me...
who said that?
the performance analyzer said that after I run it...
they didn't said that it was incompatibile....
yeap
it runs on direct3d or opengl.
the problem is their's recomendations for more power...
only nvidia...that nvidia mx 400 recomendations is great... hilarious...
I would like that some of you with ati radeon 8500 test that pseudo benchmark...
