Question Finding PSU's in stock ... anywhere!

Built a new rig recently. Literally no decent PSUs in stock at the time, so I went w/ a Thermaltake Smart 500w. Ran fine... until I installed a dedicated GPU in my Ryzen 3 3200G rig (GTX 970), then it wouldn't even make it to Windows before BSODing. Turns out it was that crappy Thermaltake PSU...

Question Asrock B450M Pro4 Sleep and Forget BIOS settings, really?

as long as everything works perfectly fine on sata ports other than 2 i would definitely conclude you likely have a dead sata port.

I have an Asus Prime B450M-A/CSM, which isn't even a high end board but has 128 MB flash ROM listed in the specs. Hoping there'll be eventual support for 4xxx series on it.

When are "mining inflated" prices going to drop?

It's amazing how much prices have increased. I bought my Asus 7970 DirectCU II when they were being discontinued to make way for the R9 280X and paid $260 after rebate. The Asus R9 280X is going for $420! Even used Asus 7970 DCII's are going for $300+ on eBay...

290 Crossfire Vs. 780 SLI Vs. 780Ti

Reference GTX 780 SLI sounds appropriate in your situation. 780 Ti is just too expensive.

Should be a sweet card, but man $650 is a lot for a GPU (from my perspective). Even $550 for the 290X is out of my price range unfortunately. $300 to $400 is what I like to spend.

R9 290X - A Card AIBs Will Love?

Glad I picked up the Asus 7970 DirectCU II for $268 w/ 3 free games while I could. The performance of the 290X is nice, but wayyy too loud/hot/power hungry for me personally.

Any chance we'll see 760's get lower than $249?

I highly doubt NV will drop the prices on the 760/770, which is unfortunate. No way I would pay $400 for a card with 2GB of VRAM, and the 4GB GTX 770 is $450 which is just stupid for price/performance. 280X is where it's at for price/performance right now.

I absolutely love my Maximum VI Hero. No issues, worked out of the box. Great layout, very well done UEFI, decent software (AI Suite), extremely high quality power delivery components, built to last. Probably the most important thing for me is the enhancements to the audio over Asus' "channel"...

I love GPU wars, it's so much fun! The rumors, announcements, counter announcements. It's the best form of drama to me. Though I'm not necessarily in the market for one of these high end $650+ cards =(
