I've been running my ASrock P67 Professional since january 2011 with an i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz flawlessly. Before I was a little bit hesitant towards ASrock but this one has proven itself.
jeez, how did your Vcore end up at 1.55V? assuming the warning message is correct.
It's alarmingly high I would say, and completely unnecessary for stock speeds.
It means that your processor is being fed 1.55 volts. Which will shorten the life span of it.
You should check the bios to see if the...
Lowering graphical fidelity will actually worsen the bottleneck, as the game become more CPU reliant.
Usually very few graphical options/game settings reduce the CPU work-load.
Im assuming you talk about the 'Intel Core i5-650'? I would say it is a fairly weak processor for todays games.
Apparently the X-Fi cards have better spatial hearing than all the later chips. And especially, I wouldnt dump an Elite Pro for anything in the world.
I remain very sceptical towards surround headsets regardless.
Also I would stay far away from "gaming" brand headsets, especially Razer's audio...
You will enjoy double the frame rate in many games. In terms of actual gaming experience I dare say it will feel more than twice as good in many games, if it is possible to quantify that.
Hello fellow anandtech'ers!
I recently aquired an AMD Phenom II X6 1055T (the 95W TDP-version).
The CPU now sits in an older rig with a Gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3 motherboard (revision 2.0). And the CPU is cooled by a Cooler Master 212 EVO.
I would say that the GA-MA770-UD3 belong in the...
It might be a safety feature built into the motherboard which senses temperature. This to minimize 'wear and tear' on solder joints and/or capacitors (swelling/shrinking). This might apply to other type of components, Im not certain.
Hey! Long-time lurker since 1999! (eventhough my current account isnt old, my first account got lost somehow)
I think I've read every anand CPU and GPU review since the era of Pentium III and Voodoo 3, and all the good stuff from that very exciting point in history of 3D graphics.
I used to play CSGO with a Radeon 6870 1GB, and it could run 1080p with max settings and 4x MSAA and maintain way above 128+ fps at all times. (CPU was a Core i7 2600).
You should have no problem finding a card today with similar performance or better for fairly cheap.
