This is my Motherboard here. Any help is appreciated...
I got the bios screen to show post info. Sometimes it stalls on memory detection and sometimes it stalls on detecting HDD. So I guess that's why it's not giving me the boot menu. I just hope that that PSU didn't just fry the old mobo...
I got it to work by plugging in to another connector. But, now I can't get it to boot to disc and other than the Power Led and Power header I don't know where any other headers are. I got it to boot from CD once but then my scratchy XP disc stalled at starting windows. I need to install XP...
Okay, I just replaced my old mobo that died last week along with a PSU and I installed all my drives and CPU and turn on my PC and the CPU fan spins for 3secs then shut off. I see the bios screen and stuff. But, I'm scared to turn on my computer for fear that my CPU will get fried because the...
No I'm not leaving the dvd drive plugged in but have tried with it and other peripherals . I tried with just ram/cpu/vga. I got no post errors when I pulled out the ram or graphics card. I remembered the 12V 4 pin power plug for the mobo...
Just tried to post with just my graphics card, RAM, and CPU and still nothing. The power led and HDD indicator stays lit along with on of my dvd drives. No beeps or anything not even any sounds from my floppy and HDD's. tried it with one stick of RAM in and same thing. BTW I tried clearing...
I'm kind of thinking that the power supply took out the mobo with it. Hopefully it didn't take the RAM out with it or anything else. So all I need to post is the RAM and VGA right?
I just replaced a dead PSU and plugged in my DVD, CD, HDD drives along with the mobo but my system won't start. Nothing shows up on the monitor but the led light on the mobo does come on and the CPU fan spins. Also even though the led on the DVD drive comes on it won't eject. Anyone have any...
Which one from that link? I see 300W for around my budget but shouldn't I at least go 350W? Or does it really not matter for what I'm running even though my mobo manual suggests 350W.
OK, I've read this thread but still need some help deciding on a PSU. I bought a Dynex 350W PSU from bestbuy yesterday for $52 + tax yesterday but am going to take it back. The motherboard I just installed has a 24pin + 4pin 12V connector and recommends an at least 350W ATX 12V 2.0 compliant...
Dude the boards where gone. I couldn't believe it myself. Like I said I went and took it to the PC shop and they diagnosed and tested it for free while I watched them do everything I tried and then some. Which is why I just went ahead and bought one of there cheap mobo's. When I came home...
LOL the drama continues. So I go to test the ECS board so after I double checked the connections and what not I plug in that Raidmax 350watt PSU and see an orange cloud inside of the PSU and get a horrendus smell. So the ECS board was dead because I tested on the PSU I bought from Bestbuy...
Well, the case fan does it too and its just connected to the power supply. And one of my drives leds are on. I checked the bios but don't know what I'm looking for...
I still have it laying around I might decide to try and give it a go again. But, this time to make sure I had it tested for free at a computer shop and they did a check of the board and the processor. I have went and bought a new PSU yesterday before I had the board tested for $52 at bestbuy...
