NEED HELP, getting serious amounts of BSOD's

Recommened me a PSU

I don't hear anything from it, it works wonderfully. Only problem for you is that it's not modular but personally if you get modular you are sacrificing a little bit of stability/performance.

E4400 - mild OC - am i ok on the temps?

How much AS5 did u put on? Best way to apply it is to apply a rice grain size in the center and then clamp the HSF down tightly. Also, on average it takes about 200 hours of use for the AS5 to cure where you actually notice the temperature drop. Once you finally get an aftermarket cooler...

Water Cooling Suggestions?

First of all, you said it your self. That is a custom kit put together. Yes that kit is very good but the pump on that is not the greatest. Considering the setup I have outperforms that kit and I spent less on it pretty much backs up what I was saying. Not to mention my main point was that...

Well you can buy a lapping kit for about $15. It's basically a process by which you sand the base of the HSF down using multiple grades of sandpaper. By doing so it makes the surface much shiner but more importantly, flatter. Flatter means better contact with the IHS of the CPU which in turn...

Temps hotter than they used to be

I'd suggest remounting with a fresh application of AS5 and you may wanna consider lapping that TT. I had a TT on my last e4300 build and after I lapped it my temps dropped about 5C.

6420 Disappointment

Sounds like it's something other than your chip affecting your OC. First off I'd def. get a better cooler. Considering I have my chip at 3.2 on 1.32v and got up to 3.6 on 1.5 you shouldn't be having a problem getting to 3.0Ghz. Post your setting in your BIOS. List what options you have...

Max Oc'ing on stock cooling (E6420)

If you're gonna be on stock cooling I wouldn't push it any further than 2.6. If you want to be able to push it to 3.2-3.4 get an aftermarket cooler.

e6420 OC's @ 3.086

I can run at 3.2Ghz at 1.35v so there should be no reason to be that high for that OC. I can run at 3.6 with 1.5v and I'm on water. If you're on stock cooling, I dont' recommend upping the voltage any higher than 1.35.

Tjucntion Temps??

That TJunction reading in CoreTemp of 85C is just telling you what the limit is supposed to be b4 the cpu shuts down due to overheating. It is the same on everyone's computer that has a Conroe chip. It is not your actual temperature so rest assured you are fine.

Water Cooling Suggestions?

If you're gonna go cheap on a watercooling kit you are wasting your money. You might as well get a good air cooler instead, because they can outperform cheap watercooling kits. If you're gonna go WC you should not buy an already put together kit. You should order a pump, resevoir/t-line...

Yes, but you'd be the one screwing it when you do it from within the BIOS. When you use software, things can happen beyond your control. In the BIOS, things don't "go wrong," the only changes that occur are the ones that you make.
