How do I set up this T1 router?

Ok, so set the IP to one in the "Available IP" range Use the "Customer's default gateway to SBCIS" as the gateway Use the two "DNS Resolution" addresses as the DNS addresses Is that correct? What is the "Assigned Router Address" then? Is that the IP of the Adtran router that SBC installed?

Ok, I've found another option that I am curious if anyone here is familiar with: Patton 2168 This product supposedly will extend your ethernet up to 1 mile with simple cat 5 cable. The product costs about $550 at CDW. This would definetely be a nice option if indeed it works. Any comments?

networkman, Would you recommend buying fiber optic cable from ebay or would you stay away from there? What mode and how many strands (I have no clue what the differences are) If there was anyway to save on the cable portion I think it would be feasible. Thanks

I'm sure the fiber optic route would be the best option for speed and reliability, but the cost factor ($3,000+) is a major deterant. I'm sure my internet options will chance in the next few years and I was hoping for a cheaper fix for the time being. No high speed internet at home bites!

I have a feeling that's going to be what I'm going to have to do. I have never heard of this fresnol zone clearance, and after a quick search and reading of information, I am still not 100% sure how I calculate it. If I can clear a few trees and get a 10 or 15' width line-of-site clearance...
