R9 290 or GTX780 ??

My case is lined with foam and built for quiet, not air flow, unfortunately. Also, boost is disabled with all skynet's bioses. I have 1228 @ 1.187 now and it seems stable, but my temps are pretty high. As for my relative performance to yours, well that's the silicon lottery.

Throwing my vote in there for a GTX 780. I got the EVGA classified for $560, and while I know the prices are falling, this card is pretty phenomenal. Out of the box the LN2 bios didn't show anything on the screen (yet the computer booted), so I put version4 of skynet's bios on there. Running...

It's true, modern civilizations have generally forgetton about honor. When I said research their history I meant going back a little farther than 60 years. The country has been around since before 710ad, you can't use 60 years of history and "prove" they aren't/weren't an honorable people...

These forums will most likely be shut down.

This isn't going to hold water if properly challenged in court under appropriate circumstances. I read that article, and it seems to have been put in to help e-stalkers get what they deserve. Also, I wouldn't particularly blame bad old Bush for this one, since the article mentioned that...

Public Smoking Ban

Standing in the proverbial middle of the political road, I'd like to offer my thoughts on this issue. Personally, I don't smoke. I don't associcate myself with people who smoke, and I avoid it on every occassion. The only time I'm really confronted with it is when I go out to bars/etc...

Buy Ford Focus, Expedition, Explorer = Free Dell w/ Flatscreen + $3000 rebate

Bump for a pretty good Ford deal. I've got a '93 Ford Tempo that I use as a backup for my WRX. It's got 160k miles on it and runs like a champ with no major maintenance and still gets 27+mpg. Sometimes it's not about speed, looks, or spinner wheels....

What makes one MMORPG any different then another?

Personally, I was excited over FFXI until I bought the game and installed it. Other than the 1 hour install, and subsequent 2 hour download of updated files, the install section was easy. Then I got to the UI. You could tell the game was made for a gamepad, and that adding keyboard support...
