Strange latency problem

That's what I initially thought, but the problem got worse in the last couple days. I haven't used a P2P application for well over a week. As I say though, I can ping stuff just fine from a command prompt. (usually 40-50 ms.) I can download just fine (stuff from microsoft at 1.8 mbyte/s)...

I have a really strange latency problem. I'm trying to play battlefield 2, yet I have an extremely high ping. I'm on an 15mbit u/d university network, so I don't understand why it's doing this. When I ping the IP of the server with an MSDOS ping, it pings just fine (around 45 ms or so.) It...

Windows install fails while copying files

I'm having the weirdest problem.. I put together a new PC, Athlon 64, ECS mobo, SATA drives in RAID-1. When I go to install windows, I get copy errors when it is copying files after the formatting stage. It gets about half way thru, then gives a copy error on every file it tries to copy. I've...

COM port in use

It's not a problem with the mobo serial ports. Those are working fine. The COM ports in question don't show up in the device manager. All I see there is COM1, COM9, and COM10. (COM7 and COM8 are bugged now to) I think the software that i'm using to serialize the USB to serial adaptor is...

BSODs after memory upgrade

Update: I found out it functions at 333 MHz, but not 400 MHz. 400 MHz + dual channel = failure 400 MHz + single channel = success 333 MHz + dual channel = success Has anyone had issues with either the 865GBF mobo or Mushkin Blue memory? Thanks!

Crashing whenever GeForce 4 is used

Yes, there is a setting for which display to initilize first, but even if you set it to PCI, once the windows GUI comes up, it'll switch to which ever one it wants to. In this case, the onboard one. A BIOS option/jumper to disable onboard video is desperatly needed on this board.

Yeah, the PCI GF4MX will not display the windows GUI unless it's the only display adaptor enabled in the device manager. To work around this, I have to disable the intel one, which is kinda ghetto as there is no option to disable the onboard video in BIOS. It's only disabled at a hardware level...
