In general, what major effects do increasing/decreasing temperatures have on integrated circuits?
Since the conductivity of semiconductors increases with temperature...does this allow circuits to operate faster at higher temperatures?
What other effects are there?
Thanks
I know the legal age for gambling in Las Vegas is 21 (I'm a few months away from turning 21), but how strict are they? Do they actually card you? Or do you just walk into the Casino and start gambling, and as long as you don't look like a teenager you won't get stopped?
Thanks!
I just bought a Canon Powershot A400, and I took it right out the box and began shooting some indoor photos. On the LCD they look fine. But when I download them to my computer, they are really really dark. Even with the flash, they're a bit better, but still unacceptably dark.
Is this a...
Here's the bid history of a digicam i was interested in. Notice in the last 20 minutes there were a bunch of bids from people with zero feedback, and even their user names look suspicious to me since each one has a 4 digits at the end (maybe auto generated?). What do you think? The seller has...
I want to buy a pair of shoes from zappos.com but they only ship to the U.S. (and shipping is free!), and unfortunately won't ship to Canada.
I'm sure this is a common problem with online shopping, so how do most people get around this?
Thanks in advance :)
Hi,
What are the main reasons for using C (or C++) for writing things like device drivers and even operating systems. Why not use something like Java? (I'm not saying we should use Java, but I'm just wondering why C/C++ are mainly used)
Thanks!
Has anyone bought one of these digital camera bundles from ebay, by the seller Cameta Auctions?
Such as this one:

I live in Canada, and they mark the package as "Ebay Purchase" and will not mark the package as "Gift". Will I get...
What if M2 comes out of reset (and say the bus is not in use) and does not know the status of the bus. Does it wait until it sees a STOP condition before trying to gain ownership? That would mean it would have to wait until some other device uses the bus first, which would prevent M2 from ever...
I've done some reading about I2C bus arbitration and I've learned that a device tests to see if the bus is busy by trying to drive it HIGH, then checking to see if it actually went high. If the bus signal is LOW, then some other master is using the bus.
But say when Master2 (M2) tries to...
Say you write your own class along with some events. When a certain thing happens, you raise the event.
For example, what's the pointing of doing something like this:
If so-and-so = true then
RaiseEvent eventName(params)
End if
Couldn't you just define a method within the class to do the...
