Good talk fellas. I ended up going with the 750k and the fm2+ socket. When i am done with this and give it away, it will be more useful if it is still relevant. So, thanks again every one. You all helped shape my purchase. There wasn't a dud idea in the bunch.

I think NTMBK spoke some wisdom in that second response when he talks about the Athlon II X4 750K on an FM2 socket. When i see an $80 part vs. a $129 part, i do see dollar signs. And while monstercameron has a point about the cache causing a bottleneck, im having trouble justifying an extra $50...

It is primarily just for gaming. I will do very little multi-threaded operations with it. The Athlon II X4 750K is an intriguing option, though, also. I will positively not be using crossfire or integrated video, ever.

E5700 vs E7400

Thanks. I was initially confused because the e5400 is not a core 2 duo, which i assumed would make it a weaker chip. I will be sure to use the E5400 going forward.

Would it not be cheaper to buy a sata 3 card and one M4? Then i wouldn't have to raid? I don't know about trim raid, but this board has Raid and AHCI.

Restore IE9: Still getting manufacturer homepage.

So, my mom has an Asus laptop. I taught her how to reset her browser and she likes MSN. When ever some tool bar hijackers her homepage, she resets IE. Works out for every one. However, this new laptop uses some wierd Asus thing. Does any one know how to tell IE to do a restore to a search engine...

I need the loudest smallest wearable speakers available.
