Try the Gigabyte Odin Pro 550 if you haven't got a PSU already. It's basically a 550VX with modular cables and the combined 41A on the +12V rail has been split across three +12V rails.
Everything looks good. I'd recommend a Seagate ES.2 drive though instead of the WD, purely for the 5-year warranty. As for the mobo, the T2RS looks like a better OCer, being otherwise identical to the BloodIron board.
All in all, great system. You've got it right the first time itself! :)
You'd have a definite improvement but that X2 3800+ would give you a bottleneck in performance, meaning you wouldn't be able to extract full performance from the card unless you overclocked it.
There's an OCZ Platinum 2GB kit available on Newegg for about $52 after a $40 rebate. It has timings of 4-4-4-15. A better deal than the Ballistix kit IMO.
