P4 1.6a overclocking

I dunno about the 1.6a's although I've heard a lot of ppl that have been able to get them up to 2.2+. My experience is limited to the 400mhz fsb 1.5ghz Williamette core that I was using temporarily in my mobo till i got a new processor. With NO difficulty, I set the fsb to 133 and it booted...

try 34/68 pci/agp seems to resolve many issues with radeons... also try to disable fastwrites

Nice P4 HSF shootout

Seriously, the Alpha PAL8942 is hands down the best air cooling heatsink i've ever used. In combination with AS3 and a YS tech 80mm variable, i've been able to drop cpu temps from (idle/load) 42C/59C to an incredible 32C/45C overclocked to 2.88ghz! It's a bit on the pricey side, but i don't...

I seem to have hit a wall here =(.. Anyone have any tips? I know it's not my ram because it's not even running at it's rated speed of ddr 333 yet. I have cpu vcore at 1.55(1.60 actual) agp vcore at +.1. it just WON't be stable. I'm beginning to think i've topped out this 2.4B as I hear other...

Now I've seen everything - a logcabin computer case.

That's nothing. My boss complained about me having a second computer at work and told me I had to give it away. (I work in IT) So, I disassembled it. Sawed out some packing foam, and proceeded to rebuild the computer in my drawer, disk drives and all. The cables ran out the back of the drawer...

Chieftec Cases: where'd you get it??

here Hmm, I think the cheaper ones u guys are talking about are steel right? The case I got was aluminum and came with 4 clear fans and a 420w power supply. Either way I paid a lot more than $35!

Last request for opinions on Corsair 3200 ram (which one)

dude, if you're aching for 2x512 just get samsung pc2700 for that price read this review trust me, unless you're planning on going over 191 fsb you're not going to be missing that overpriced stuff. If you're doing video editing, more ram will equal more speed than faster ram. 1 stick of 512mb...

Looking for a specific case

I just went to my supplier today and he showed me an aluminum case with a drive door that is hydraulically actuated! You hit a button on the top of the case and the door slowly slides down and exposes the drives. Might be just what you need.

Looking for glowing air flow testing item

*shrug* I'd like to know too, but for the most part, cigarette smoke does me just fine :D It gets spit back out the back of my case so quickly I highly doubt it even makes a difference.

How much weight can you put on a case??

This is what I'm using on my old rig. I swear it is the sturdiest case known to man. I have been using it as a foot rest, lamp stand... currently my shuttle is residing on top of it. I have stood on it to reach things on a shelf. Of course it weighs a friggin ton. But you just can't beat that...
