Poll: HP 49g+ or TI 89?

You won't need it until you get into your hard EE courses. A TI-83 will suffice for intro prerequisite courses. I could have gotten away with a scientific calculator this year. Don't waste your money just yet.

Never went skiing in my life... but maybe this weekend...

At the very least you will need ski pants, gloves, and a hat. You should also have a nice jacket, but doesn't have to be anything fancy or expensive. You can rent ski equipment on site (boots, skis, and poles). My advice, don't rent a snowboard because you will have no fun at all. 95% of the...

Alternatives to a CompSci degree?

Get a real degree in something unrelated, like Mechanical E, take some electives that deal with electrical stuff, do programming on the side. If you really like programming, you will learn it well. Who knows if you do good, when you graduate you can pick a career at game development, robotics...

You're incorrect. .99999... is a geometric series that converges at exactly 1 when you take infinitely many terms (which is what the first poster wanted to do, extend .9999 into infinity).

Can a C++ constructor call another constructor?

Nope, the MyClass() in the nondefault constructor will just create another instance of MyClass class. Since you're not storing a reference to it, the object is an unnamed temp that you have no way to access and will get destroyed when it goes outta scope.

YACT: Losing coolant, intake bad?

Start your car and inspect all the hoses going from the reservoir. When my car started loosing coolant I found out that one of the hoses burst and was dripping the stuff pretty fast.

Can't get my wireless to work

I read some Intel proset help docs and it said I have to disable Win XP Zero configuration service. Rebooted, bam, it works. Thanks for your help n time tho. Take care guys.

I have Intel Proset installed, if that helps any. I see no point in doing any changes in router settings until I get it to work.

I'm using default router settings. SSID is "default" and channel is 6. I've no clue how to change the settings on the laptop tho.
