thank you right before you responded i saw the command in the manual on thw web, it's just i wa sin a hurry to get this configured, thanx much, even to change the console name the command was different, it was set prompt, i guess i need to learn new set commands for this small baby. thanx much.

ok instead of back / i just used blank space and it worked but now i have a problem setting the ip route gateway it says route exists but i want to change the ip route so i used set ip route default 168.168.132.1 and i get an error route exits but when i do show ip route it says default is...
