Solved: HP 2509m monitor won't wake up Pavilion Elite HPE 310-t

The monitor once it would go to sleep was very difficult to wake up. The light on the monitor would stay yellow, and never turn blue. You would have to power cycle the monitor. The monitor was connected to the computer built in video and dvi port. Solution was to change settings on the monitor...

Question about Haswell Voltage

I need help with this too! I have a Gigabyte Z87 board and was getting 1.4 cpu vcore and 100C temps with optimized bios defaults. Crazy! I locked the cpu core at 1.25 and cpu cache at 1.1 and now my temps are only 75 on the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility Stress Test. If someone comes up with...

Thanks Termie. Nice sig. That was helpful. I was under the misconception I could change the multi on a S CPU. If the idle consumption doesn't change I will get the k. And I will keep an eye out for a seasonic with the hybrid switch for less than $100

Power is 20 cents a kw/hr where I am. If I lower the power consumption by 50w assuming the computer is on 24 hrs a day that is about $86 a year. And it's quieter and I don't have to run the a/c as much. I'm definitely going to do go with the s processor and a seasonic p/s with the hybrid switch...

Help with extending wireless range with a wireless access point

Thanks for the reply. If I want to get professional wireless gear, what do I look for? Sounds like overkill though. Does anyone make a wireless access point with a minimum link speed or poor signal disconnect? If I could configure the WAP to kick someone off with a low speed connection...
