Win XP Pro MP3 instability

I recommend using turtle beach over audigy or other sb cards for mp3's even though its more expensive. Also, try using Coolplayer for your mp3's.

Replacing Power Supply Fan

(Dead) At Staples CenDyne "32x12x40" (Lite-ons, Mitsumi & AOpen) "$30.00" AR & coupon

The first 32x Cendyne I bought had a serial number with 20 something digits and ended in JED1. I took it back to another staples, and looked for a lite on before I swapped it. If you want the Lite On, look for the Serial #LTR-32123S on the back of the box, under performance specifications.

Audiophiles on the Neoseeker boards recommend the Santa Cruz over the Audigy. Newbies on hardware forums recommend Audigy ;)

FYI theres no hardware difference between your "bottom of the line" SB Live Value and a SB Live platinum 5.1 other than 5.1 support (useless if you dont have surround speakers) and software.

If I were you I would get neither. I would use that money fo something else, maybe get a new pair of shoes or some clothes for summer :) No but seriously, both of those upgrades are really minor so the price would outweigh the performance benefit. I could see if you were on like 128mb going...

So the Lite On 32x or 40x would be a better buy. I didnt realize that yamaha is going for 180 bux @ frys! (30 dollar rebate, but still).

Help me choose a Router for a small office

I guess what I have should be working correctly. How would I go about setting up the IP's to static in the router? Would each PC have its DNS set to point to the router or would they point to my ISP's DNS. I think the gateway would be setup to point to the router for each PC. The firmware is...

Help me choose a Router for a small office

Right now @ my office we have 8 pc's and a NT server running off a Linksys BEFSR41 (4 port router) Thats also hooked up to a linksys 10 port switch. Our ISP is Pacbell and it Uses PPPoE so we need those capabilities. The problem is that the router goes down alot, I usually have to reboot it a...

Lite-On vs Plextor

I just ordered a 32x Lite-On from Mwave.com. I Was gonna go for the plextor 24x, but It was 30 dollars more than the Liteon. It will be replacing my Teac 8x SCSI CD-R (it doesnt do rewriting). I was thinking about the 40x CDRW but I read that it doesnt even burn much faster than a 24x...
