[Help Please] Major FPS Drop after upgrade to i7 3770k

Z68 chips may require a BIOS update to run Ivy Bridge CPUs unless this is a very recent version of the board. Check the Gigabyte site.

Try this. Disconnect the WD Caviar, boot and get into the BIOS adn make sure the SSD is showing. Power down, physically install the optical drive (Windows will load the driver for it automatically), load the operating system, and then reconnect the WD Caviar.

Double check the intel cooler if you're using it. These pins can pop if not pressed down firmly enough and cause boot cycling. Double check your RAM making sure it's seated correctly, and in the right slots. If this and other suggestions don't work, do what Paul said :-)

My Dilemma

I have a PVA LG 24" and haven't had any problems running in various resolutions. I have a q6600 w/ 2GB ram, and a 1950 pro. Or in other words there's no way I can play COD4 or Crysis at 1920x1200.....damn. Anyhow, the monitor seems to handle other settings w/o much degradation of image at all...
