Remember how Mitsubishi is not one company but out of many? Great companies like Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Nikon, Mitsubishi Motors (at least here in ASEAN), etc. I kind of wish Intel will go on that path. Too many bureaucratic infighting inside their house will not stand, unless a...
They need a giant plaque of "The customer always comes first" in their executive offices, ala Asian style. AMD stood by it, NVIDIA pffft, but Intel... It ain't so funny anymore.
Only way to see this is Intel being reincarnated ala IBM, but I mean this in a good way. The Intel of present will not endure for another decade. See this article here:

That is is merely a tirade of "give and take" in the x86 world. AMD was faced their own; now it *will* be Intel. I could only hope for the best from here on out.
Personally? I expected Alder Lake to compete with Zen 3, but not outperform it. After all, this is their "Zen 1" moment in my view; their first big foray into Intel's hybrid architecture, and many modern games and productivity applications will need optimizations to fully utilize Alder Lake's...
With a company that has thousands of employees more than AMD, you'd think that Intel would, at the very least, mitigate many bugs or failures that might have gone with all the new stuff. With the way the world progresses nowadays, Intel's circumstances is very different than AMD during their...
@momomo_us posted what seems to be a retail pricing leak for Alder Lake. According to the first picture (Korean version by @harukaze5719), column on the left is the pricing without tax. Column on the right includes tax. As I understand it, it seems that the i9 has increased their prices, with...
As far as I'm concerned, Intel will always stick to their price brackets. Why are you assuming that Intel will increase their ADL prices, if the motherboard prices will go even higher because of upgraded I/O?
I think let's have Alder Lake speak for themselves when they release throughout this year. Unless we find some more leaked benchmarks in QS/final silicon.
In this slide, the Thread Director is presented as a hardware-guided scheduler that will group IPC into different classes. I wouldn't get into details here but if someone can, then please do so.
Slides are up before their Hot Chips presentation, but if there's anything indicative of this is that they got the hybrid architecture working right now.
A Golden Cove core performs >50% better ST compared to Gracemont. But 2+8 ADL performs >50% better MT compared to 4+0 P-cores.
