  1. Firefox 50 Released

No, I didn't say that. FF+uBO with dynamic filtering does pretty much what I need them to well enough. If clickjacking was a concern to me uBO + uMatrix are an excellent combo, but choose to use only uBO for ease of use. Even NoScript is susceptible to clickjaking occasionally when u are...
  2. Firefox 50 Released

It manages those just fine just not as stringent and it makes web browsing a lot easier. With noscript u have more fine grained control but it becomes a pain after a while, it still is one of the most powerful add-ons if that's what u want.
  3. Firefox 50 Released

For me FFx64 and uBlock Origin has been a lot better than with noscript, now I don't have to guess (tired of it) what to allow for a web page to function correctly. I've seen websites with more than 30 elements blocked, once on a crappy news site it blocked 57 elements. After many years of...
  4. The Closer with Keith Olbermann | GQ

Since the retirement of Jon Stewart, there hasn't been another program that entertains with cut to the chase, bare knuckle intelligent political wit. Some personalities have the knack to cut through all nonsense that MSM seems to think you're interested in. Enjoy! The Closer with Keith...
  5. Any point to upgrading a core 2 duo e6550 to e8400?

Those Xeon's are very good at reviving LGA775 MBs, I dusted off an old nForce 650i with a X5460 ($35) OC @ 3.8 and it's been humming along for over a year. Considering the benefits of a =1236&cmp[]=1297&cmp[]=955"]Quad over a C2D it was a no brainer IMO, for something that was probably...
  6. Replace My 5 Yr Old Sony Vaio With....???

The Dell XPS line is a great alternative with some of the best 4K UHD LCDs available now. Although, a refresh should be coming to the 15" with Skylake CPUs and InfinityEdge screen similar to the XPS 13 that was released earlier this year. The RAM limitation refers to the maximum memory capacity...
  7. I guess you're all as meh about the OnePlus 2 too

True, looks like somebody is getting paid by the word judging by the wall of text in the last few posts. And just to rub it in, a quote from another poster; I'm sure a lot of people will agree with it.
  8. Best/Fastest Phone I Could Get for $70.

The OP has a small budget of $70. Unless the Moto E 2nd gen suddenly is priced around that, it doesn't fit within the budget. The Lumia 640 still is a better deal even against the Moto E 2nd gen.
  9. Best/Fastest Phone I Could Get for $70.

Lumia 640 it's the better phone with most up to date specs for the price and with limited specs WP runs better. Besides the Moto E doesn't have LTE, front camera, 4gb vs 8gb, etc.
  10. AV-Comparatives: Performance Tests May 2015

Just as well, I'm sure you'll enjoy all the benefits along with most of the drawbacks too. Second with the most false alarms...!? Cheers!!!
  11. headphones advice

If you can gift him something he'll cherish and still suit his preferences, you're a great sister. Although, I still prefer the Audio Technica ATH-AD900X over the HD 598's, while similar in price, the sound stage is better with the ATH-AD900X. IMHO, after owning both of them for a while until I...
  12. ASUS ZenFone 2 / Zoom

It's ok for now, I'm getting about 2 days per charge with normal use ( 4hrs onscreen time, a dozen calls, a few emails and sms). It had a couple of updates that improved the camera (it went from tolerable -> acceptable -> competent) and a host of other bugs. Asus is really stepping up, as...
  13. Opinions on AV?

The one reason I've stuck with Nod32 AV is the consistency and protection. Still is one of the lightest AV around in terms of resources (around 100mb) and it does its business without much ado from the user. You barely notice is there, simplicity at it's best without annoying the user. Unlike...
  14. Cheap phone that accepts MicroSD

It has enough endurance to last 3 days with light use (for my self, 2 to 3 hrs of music play and occasional wifi web browsing.) YMMV.
  15. Tablet with SD card slot

Nvidia Shield Tablet < 128gb microSD card supported.
