regarding the BFG 6800 graphics card - went this morning when they opened, took it to the register, handed the coupon, after some initial confusion it was rejected.(she scanned the coupon, had even rung up the card, but started reading the fine print.) good luck to anyone else who tries.

differences PNY & BFG 6800 GT

2 questions: 1) how do you know they apply AS? (not questioning what you say, just curious where you got this information) 2) if they do apply AS, is it only to the OC versions of the 6800? I've got the BFG 5900 (stock 400/850) which I've got running nicely at 475/950. I was thinking to apply...

"The Making of Doom 3" book - $13 (normally $20)

preorder @ WalMart.com for release on 8-28-04. You can do in-store pickup, if I'm not mistaken. The Making of Doom 3 Might not mean much to you non-gaming folks, but to those that have waited a long friggin time for this game to come out, the book will likely be an interesting read.

Arctic Cooling VGA Silencer Rev 3 $9.99 at SVC again

Just curious - the SVC page claims nVidia compatibility for only GeForce3Ti level cards... is it really worth it to get this cooling unit for a GF3ti? My feeling is: anyone who is into getting exotic cooling for their vidcard and overclocking is probably not using a GF3ti level card anymore...
