Crystal Orb noticably quieter than stock gainward ti 4200 hs/f?

Ah, thanks for the info guys. Lint.. i think the crystal orb wouldn't really be any better as far as sound goes. I run all my case fans at 7v, and basically all i can here is the retail athlon xp hs/f which is going to be replaced with that hs/f from svcompucycle and the vga fan. I can live...

Crystal Orb noticably quieter than stock gainward ti 4200 hs/f?

I want to replace the hs/f on my gainward ti 4200 128mb. The stock fan does it's job very well. I am able to overclock to ti 4600 speed. However, it is a bit noisy, and I have been working on making my pc case more quiet. Will the crystal orb work on the gainward? Will it be quieter than...

Grr.. can't get dma to work on my Lite-On 16x DVD-Rom

Ok important system info is as follows: MSI Ultra745 Primary IDE devices: 80 gig Seagate (dma working), 40 gig Maxtor (dma working) Secondary IDE devices: 32x Liteon CDRW (dma working), 16x DVD-ROM (dma NOT working) 768 mb pc2100 athlon xp 2000+ WinXP Pro Of course I chose DMA if available...

Any reason to upgrade to H/W modem from a Winmodem if its on a server?

Damn. I can't get dialup either. Fastest connect we can get here is 28.8. Consider yourself lucky.

Fan inside a mouse: power issues?

Thanks for the links kuk. That meku link is where I got the idea. I wasn't sure however if my optical mouse was drawing more power than his ball mouse, and I didn't want to break anything.

Yeah, I know it sounds stupid and rediculous to do what I am planning to do, but I am not the first. It's just something I do to keep from sitting around and doing nothing during my free time. Nice to keep up on skills involving tools and such.

ElFenix how did you measure the amperage used by your mice? I'm not sure if the explorer has more unecessary components being powered versus the logitech (i'm using a logitech at the moment waiting for the paint on my mouse to dry and the inside of the logitech is much more simplistic).

epson usb drivers

That's really weird. I have an epson stylus C80 hooked up via usb. I just plugged it in and winxp automatically recognized and installed it. Then I ran windows update and it had a driver update for it. So if they are not free on epson's site, run windows update when you get it running.

I have the 128mb golden sample. Mine is currently at ti4600 speeds with stock cooling.
