AC Freezer 64 Pro

Yes. It is an excellent heatsink & fan for the money. So easy to install too which is a bonus. Keeps my 3200+ at 2.3Ghz around 28 idle not sure what the load temp is around 35 - 40 I think.

Hello, I'm looking to replace my current 80mm fans (3000rpm ys tech's) with something similar but of higher quaility. The thing is I can deal with the air noise movement of these fans but they also have a nasty motor whine that changes frequencies. They were kind of cheapo fans too so...

Crazy problems on a friend's new build (Updated 2/13/06)

You've probably tried this but my friend had similar problems with a DFI board that all disapeared when he set the vdimm to 2.8v. Although that was different ram and only 2 sticks.

500 or 600 watt psu?

So are you saying that you do not need 26A on the 12v rail to use a 7800GT ? Do you have anything to backup this claim ?

I think you'll find I am right. I just tried to power a new system that had a 7800gt with a 450w psu with 25A on the 12v rail and it didn't have enough power for the dvd drive to work. This was an amd 3200+ , 7800gt, Asrock Dual sata2, 1 gig ram 1 hdd 1 case fan 1 dvd burner 1 cpu fan...

I guess I didn't make myself clear because I'm lazy and prefer to type as little as possible. What I meant was a 7800gt in a pc with modern cpu hdd optical drive, mobo and some fans requires a psu with 26 A on the 12 v rail, not that *just* the gfx card draws 26 A. I'm thinking it would be...

A single 7800gt requires 26 A on 12v rail dunno what 2 would require but I would get a 600W PSU to be on the safe side.

computer will not POST?

Perhaps you would like to hear a problem I just solved. Long story short a new build with 7800gt amd 64 3200 plus the usual stuff. and a dvd burner. Built it all was fine but the DVD drive sometimes worked and sometimes not but would play CoD 2 fine. Turns out the psu a levicom 450 watt...

Can't boot from dvd?

Ah it turns out the dvd-rw drive won't read any dvd's only cd's. This is not good. It is brand new so I guess I'll need to send it back. It seems like a strange fault though I mean if it was faulty I'd expect it to not work at all rather than not work for dvd's. Has anyone seen this kind...

Can't boot from dvd?

He only has 1 dvd device plugged in atm because of the position of the IDE connections on the Asrock board and his huge case the cable won't reach the other drive. So it is on the secondary IDE channel as a master. I'm not really sure what I did to burn it just Alcohol's image writing wizard...
