Floating point numbers

how are floating point numbers stored in a PC and why is it impossible to store .1 as .1 and not some slightly different number. Also what would be stored if .1 can be?

A used car with an "As Is" on the sticker.. would/should you/I buy it?

The reason dealers use "As Is" because stupid people would run the car off the road and then sue the guy because he didn't repair it for free. if you do drive the car for 180 miles and nothing seems wroung then it is most likely fine and won't break in 30 day warrent anyways

lag of cordless mouses

If anyone could correct me but I also read that there are some lags, because radiowaves are slower than light-of-speed. I can correct you on that one. radio, radar, gama, colored, ext. all forms of electromegantic raditon (light) travel at the same speed some you just can see. On my cordless...

lose your barcode for a rebate, then it's hot

Yea I could have used this when I sent in my rebate and everything but one Bar coded got there. I went around in circles with a guy who kept telling me to RESUBMIT the original bar code lol.

How does an add-on IDE controller card work?

Not all add-on IDE controllers go over the PCI bus. My neibhor has on the ISA bus and it only has a primary channel.
