computer crashes (locks up) help please?

no it is not in power saving mode. if the monitor is still on the computer is locked up when i come back to it. its totally random, im just trying to see if its something i could fix, cuz i dont want to have to reformat. thanks

please help? i dont understand it, i have all new drivers, comp is not running to hot, sometimes it crashes w/i in 1 min and sometimes it crashes w/i 4 hrs

I have not run WD diagnostics, how do u do that? i dont have any WD cd's or floppys anymore. you think that diag tool is on there website? i have an antec 550w ps also, sometimes ill have my comp on on then when i come back the monitor is black, and i cant see anything unless i restart comp...

well checking on ebay it looks I can sell it for around 425. if i keep it i will be getting a 425 card for 373. so, i guess then, what would be a great tv tuner card? ATI Tv wonder elite? i love the remote thing, never used on tho with a video card. Mo reinput would be great guys, thanks!

Bought an AIW x800 XT, they shipped me a X850 XT PE

well I orderd an AIW x800 XT and the website shipped me a x850 XT Platinum Edition card instead. I orded an AGP model, and they still sent me the 850 with AGP bus, so thats ok. This means I can still keep this card. Right now i have a Geforce 2 MX, from a friends, because my GF4 ti 4600 blew...

Can I hook up my DVI monitor to display video for my PS2?

I have an LG 19" LCD Display. It has a VGA and DVI-D input. Right now I have my LCD hooked up via my ti 4600 video card via DVI plug. I want to be able to hook up my ps2 maybe via component input to my LCD. I know of the technology of VIVO. I was interested in the MSI 6600GT as my upgrade...

Need to get back into the admin account

My friend gave me computer and has an admin account for all the important files like games. He had his games only installed on his account and not on his sisters. But he lost the password, and I was wondering if anyone knew how to get around that issue or crack into windows to access the admin...

HELP!!! Both IDE drives not reading discs!

I have a problem. Hopefully someone can help me out, because its either happened to them or they know how to rectify the situation. I have a plextor 48/24/48 burner and a generic DVD-ROM drive. Both of them are recognized by windows and it says they are "working fine." But they are not...

Laptop liquid cooling?

I think you have some good points there. I would say no, for the reasons of cost and clunkiness of a cooling system. I think for us custom system builders we can find the patience and usability of a water cooled system. But that added weight and cost would shy away any major corporate laptop...
