is it possible to upgrade Compaq V2000 laptop with a 160gb HD?

This is a 2006 model laptop with AMD turion64 ship so I'm thinking it's new enough so that the BIOS accepts the 137+GB hd's but how can I know for sure? When i install the samsung 160gb HD, the laptop doesn't go through the standard Onscreen boot display (can't get into BIOS) and tries to...

What would it take?

What would it take to install and boot windows from a SD Memory card? I've seen memory cards up to 4GB and if you could RAID them to obtain a larger virtual drive, i believe it would be pretty darn fast. Anyone have any idea what it would take to: 1) Use SD Memory card as a HD? 2)...

Ok...I just borrowed an IT's CD and it doesn't accept the COA # that I typed in....hmmmm......why is this? Are there different batches of CD's that will only work with certain ranges of Serial #?

Hi, I ended up purchasing a computer from a company that went with newer systems. It has the COA with a Serial Number (Windows 2000 Server - 5 seat license) but no media. How do i go about finding the correct media such that I can install the OS and keep it legal? The company I purchased...

Hot(?) deal on a HP Media Center computer at ComputerGeeks

FYI: I've bought over 50+ items from computer geeks (refurbed and new) and rarely does refurbed stuff ever look used. Everything except for 1 stick of ram (sold as new) has worked perfectly out of the box.

Help! Raid5 isn't recognized by Highpoint 404.

I've tried a couple of HD configurations. currently the configuration is as such - ch3-Ma + ch3-Sl + ch4-Ma Ch3-Ma is "bad" and IS showing that its connected to RAID5 array. Ch3-Sl is ok but not showing that its connected to RAID5 array Ch4-Ma is ok and now its not showing that its connected...
