I just called them, and the person who I talked to (not my dentist) said that the discoloration was normal, and that I would know if I had dry socket. But I asked her if I should take naproxen or something for the swelling, and she asked me if that was something that is prescribed or could be...

Dry socket

i really hope not (either one). I've been rinsing my mouth out with warm salt water after eating along with brushing my teeth, and I've been taking my antibiotics as directed. Mosh, I will call my dentist tomorrow. His office is closed today. :/

Dry socket

I know there have been a million threads on wisdom teeth extractions, but I didn't see much specifically about dry socket except try not to get 'em. I had my lower left wisdom tooth pulled on Tuesday, and the area is still swollen today. I looked at the socket and it is not a pretty sight...

Dallas Office and Schools Closing Because of Adverse Weather This Afternoon

My exam has been postponed until next Tuesday...I guess I got what I wished for. Unfortunately, I scheduled to have my wisdom tooth removed next Monday (thinking school would be done with...) Is a day enough time to recover from an extraction?
