Why are Tornadoes so random about what gets destroyed?

they make a continuous roaring sound, i heard one that was 1/4 mile from my house, scary shit.

webdave, thanks for the link, I hope this works on a ceiling as well as a wall, this stuff is old, brittle and covered in 3 or 4 layers or paint.

Hi everyone: i live in an old flat, which has wallpapered ceilings. There is an area where the paper has let go at a seam, and the pieces are slowly sagging down. I can't simply push it back up as it's brittle as hell. Do I need to steam it to soften it? If I do, how will any glue then work...
