Official! Dell 3007WFP monitor delayed to january 5th

i use a westinghouse 37" lcd and run windows at 1920*1080. it looks fantastic and I'll definetly go bigger if they release a bigger model. i dont have sli, just a single gtx. pretty much any game that's at least a year old will run at native res. newer games are too much for my pc at that...

19? LCD users ? Resolution Question

if you decrease the resolution, whether in games or windows, it'll function just fine, but it won't be as sharp. the reason for this is the lcd will scale anything you send to it's native resolution. this scaling will result in a softer image. outputting at native res avoids this.

it'll be fine. remember, your 17" crt has a viewing size of about 16", which means the lcd will be about 3" larger.

Should I enable CMSS-3D when watching DVDs?

i think it's pretty dumb that they have modes anyway. according to their official forum, the reasoning is to allocate more resources to the user's desired function. but, think about it. when the eax engine is being used, obviously allocate more resources for gaming. otherwise it's...

Xbox 360 wireless adapter proprietary?

they want you to buy their accessories. every console maker has done it. they don't care if you already have one, they just see the $$.. if you can find a wireless adapter that plugs into the ethernet jack, that'll work fine. the system will have no idea it's talking to a wireless adatper...

Is it worth getting a sound card for headset?

i have a laptop, so this may not apply, but I recently bought the Audigy PCMCIA card, and it has provided a noticeable improvement in sound quality when using headphones. the sound is louder, more vibrant and clearer.

Antec TruPower 430 causing major system problems

I would suggest not using your pc until you get another power supply incase you damage something. agreed. he should try a high quality homemade psu made by "Bob's power supplies."

Best 1920x1200 LCD WUXGA monitor? Sony, Samsung, HP, Apple?

I have the HP f2304 and I love it. Image quality is superb. I've never really seen any ghosting. My only complaints: 1. no remote control 2. I'd like more inputs - multiple DVI, & multiple component inputs 3. No built-in tv tuner...not a big deal if you have a cable box connected...

i have the z-680's and they are absolutely amazing. but jim, for your dorm room, do not buy them. You will not be able to use them without complaints. In my house I can barely use them and I get people screaming at me from two floors up to turn them down too much overkill for a dorm room
