Cant get DDR workin! - Gigabyte GAK8NF9

I have tried different DDR ram (corsair 2x512 266mhz) and same results... Only way I can get it to boot is with 1 stick in slots 1 or 3 or with 2 sticks in 1+3 and any of thos combos says single channel 64bit. im wanting it to say dual channel enabled 128bit, right? Also, I put the kingston...

I have 2 sticks of Kingston KVR400/512 DDR ram. I try to put in slots 1+2 and get no POST, 3+4 same thing, 1+4 same thing...Just in 1 or 3 or both 1+3 and I will get POST and register the GB of ram but 64bit single channel only... I can put 1 stick in slot 1 or 1 stick in slot 3 and it will...

CPU gone bad or DRAM chip?

Yeah, cant even get to BIOS - with everything out except cpu/hsf it still gives me the long continuous beeps. I am now using the antec case for my pc im on so I know the PSU is good. (ordering an ahanix D5 case for the HTPC) - after I get it running that is! Tried the cmos battery thing, but...

no, how do I do that? is there a dos based memtest, or you mean put the memory in a working computer? it wont boot

Typically bad memory (or wrong type/size etc) is long, short, short short - - long, short, short , short. I agree it would be rare - but it is possible, it was not OCd at all So if I have no CPU and put the ram in and get no beep codes, do you think the RAM is good - or does the CPU at least...

ga-k8nf-9 - cpu fan doesnt always run

Ive got the warning turned on for the CPU fan, and when I first boot up in the morning the warning noise comes on, and stays on for several minutes, even after the OS is fully loaded, after I reboot once or twice, the fan then usually comes on and the warning noise comes on. im not sure if this...

Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 RAID

Anyone here happen to have 2 video CAPTURE cards they can test with this mobo? I am unsuccessfull gettting 2 capture cards to work at the same time with this mobo. I have tested with Dvico FUSION, Hauppauge PVR150MCE, and an ATI Rage card. Thanks Ross

Does anyone here have 2 video capture cards they can test? I have a nforce4 chipset and cannot get any 2 capture cards to work together, want to know if its a chipset thing, or gigabyte issue. Thanks Ross

939 3200+ fan not always starting

The CPU fan is no big deal really...its only off for seconds or less...I was just wondering if there was a fix... I guess I could turn off the annoying beep but I dont want it not to come on for a long time sometime...

I have the beep error on in BIOS (ga-k8nf-9 mobo) when the CPU fan isnt running... Almost every time i turn the PC on it beeps (solid) for a few seconds until the fan starts spinning up, then goes away...Sometimes it beeps up until I get all the way into the OS (45sec boot time)...but then...
