The Asrock board is now available in the UK at two or three select retailers and it's very reasonably priced at £45-£50, compared to £65- £70 for an Abit AN8-E. It's definitely at the top of my most wanted list, just have to persuade the wife that I need a CPU to go with it . . .

Are all the RAID options correctly set up in the BIOS? Not familiar with the board itself, but you may have to enable each SATA device separately in the BIOS.
Just a thought, hopefully you've gone through the BIOS already.

I've had exactly the same problem - only one SATA drive to install.
Use a PC with an existing OS and get the correct driver from the BootDrv folder. I found for my XP install that "E" worked.
