Sony cuts price of PlayStation, PS2
(Rewrites with official confirmation, adds Sony interview)
By Ben Berkowitz
LOS ANGELES, May 13 (Reuters) - Sony Corp said on Monday it cut the U.S. price of its...
BoBandCompany, same thing happened to me, I elected to go with the VeloCD 16x drive, and this one had been on back order a week, and still was on back order when I emailed them to cancel the drive. They emailed me the next day, apologized and said that it's to late it went out that day. (how...
lex, agreed! DiverDown not to crap on your thread, but the only reason I have this TV is cause I got it free with my Gladiac card in the staples deal last month. Black and white is just not good :) Also Staples has it retail for 29.99 so this is only a $5 savings. My 1 1/2 cents.
8meg buffer.. a 12x writes 8 meg in about 4 seconds, not much time.. I would rather have burn-proof than an 8 meg buffer on a 12x, and especially on a 16x. Which is why I purchaced a TDK 16x with 2meg buffer and burn-proof over the Yamaha with 8 meg buffer and no burn-proof. Just my .02!
MS Optical Explorer mouse is the best mouse I have ever owned. I shelled out 50 bones for it, and would gladly do it again. Now that Logitech has optical mice it has been tempting to grab one since I did own a MousMan before the Explorer. But I really like the 2 extra thumb buttons on the...
SCSI or IDE, burn-proof is a very nice technology. I had a plextor 12/4/32s and an adaptec 2940u2w, and that drive made more coasters than any other drive I have owned. Some of this might have factored due to my hard drive being older and slow, but with burn-proof this would not have been an...
Well I cancelled my 12/10/32 TDK VeloCD order, and jumped on this. With shipping my order over there came to $214.00 cause I was charged tax. My order at buy.com came to $241.00. So for $27 more I get a 16/10/40. Very nice, of course I don't get the $50 rebate but I still think this is a great deal!
kingz, I to am debating on getting 2 sticks of Crucial 128m Cas 2 for $155 or 2 sticks of KingMax 128m PC150 Cas2 for about the same price. I am really leaning toward the KingMax.
When I was in high school ('92) it was popular to buy a can of this stuff and sniff it for a high.. The trend quit pretty quickly when there was a kid on TV every other night who had died from doing this.
Is there any benefit, or lack there of, to use 2 128m sticks instead of 1 256m stick other than the fact that it eats up 1 more socket on your motherboard? Because 2 sticks of 128m Cas2 is about $15 cheaper than 1 stick of 256m of the same ram.
I think these are shipped right out of Salt Lake City. We have a huge gateway warehouse here and I had to pay $14 in sales tax. I ordered mine on the 5th, checked my order status tonight and it still says back ordered. But I did recieve an email stating that the drive should ship on the 13th...
