How many of you have bricked a phone while flashing a cutom ROM

Thanks guys. I think I am just gonna get it repaired as the refurbished and second hand ones here in market will cost a bit more than the repairing cost. Anyway this is now going to be a play device for me, so not going to worry too much if something happens again.

So a bit of a context here... I have a galaxy note 2 purchased back in 2013. It served me well for 2 and a half years before 'dying' one day. It would not start or charge at all. I don't blame the phone for dying. It dropped several times and Many a times I slept on it. So a hardware failure...

It folds

The only major challenge before releasing a fold-able/bendable display is making it scratch and penetration resistant. The tech has been there since last couple of years and are used in all these devices like curved TVs, Edge phones with glass or other kind of protection. But I am yet to see any...

Dumb question.. If I write big files e.g. movies to the drive, fill it, then delete entirely, fill it again and so on, is it the same thing they did? Is the drive going to fail after the said number of writes? I don't think that would take 18 months to do. That way a 128GB Samsung drive will...

Solidworks laptop?

I have never used solidwork but as it seems Intel IGP has limited support for solidwork. http://www.solidworks.com/sw/support/videocardtesting.html However it depends on version of the software, OS, etc. You can also have a look at the HP Z-Book 17 if budget isn't an issue.

Intel Broadwell Thread

These devices are confusing me. On one hand they are offering better battery life, but on the other they certainly are not as powerful as the haswell U series and are not going to be much cheaper either. It's painful to own an expensive device and then knowing there is a much more powerful one...

The yoga 2 pro doesn't have pen support. May you were talking about the thinkpad yoga. Yoga 2 pro doesn't offer anything special over the yoga 2 other than the very high res screen

UPS - important?

+1 Red Squirrel I have a very old desktop (HP OEM, pentium dual core, bought in 2007) at home that has a UPS, but my sister never turns it off when there is a power outage and lets it shut down after the charge ends. Also power cuts are very common here. But never have I seen any data...
