Computer Shuts off after 10-15 min when playing game.

Great that you have solved your problem. Mine, I am afraid to say that it has gone from bad to worse. I reported earlier that it will be stable after the first sudden shutdown but now, it is not so, it can shut down again. I noticed that I am not able to boot up again after the shutdowns...

I got a good feeling it is the motherboard. I am having the same Mobo but with Rev 1.0, and have been having sudden shutdowns about a month ago. I got a buddy who had the same board and hardware as we purchased at the same time, well, his mobo died 6 months earlier. It had sudden reboots...

Video Card Diagnosis

Yes, I had some issue with 7900GT from Palit. Would post initially but will quickly die off and won't show any video at all. Had 2 cards tried out, and both crashed out. At that time, the 8800GTX just came out and I opt to pay more to get the exchange. Still working till today, 2 years plus...

Tricking your PC Games into thinking you have a Quad core??

I recalled in the hyperthreading days of P4, in most cases for games, there will be a decrease in performance.

ARRGG I cant stop upgrading this is rediculous . . .

I was there too....but u automatically get's cured (with some 'cold turkey' effect) when the bills and responsibility goes up to a point where money to upgrade is a real constraint. So the next upgrade for me would be a really calculated one, one in which I have to decide between a KT400A...

Can't wait for the review. It's always like this, and it is good for the competition.....coming out with a better (hopefully) product that the rivals. I read on these thread replies about some sound quality (on-board / external ?) issue with the KT400 chip. Anywhere I can find the literature...

Random lock-ups after hours of play

It could be a Driver problem with the DirectX or OpenGL drivers that came with the video card. It appear to be like a memory leak, after using up all the 512MB memory, it starts to eat the HD swap file (check the HD LED during the slow downs to confirm this). I played a game once with this...

Asus V7700 series: New drivers. Anyone (Asus owner) tried it yet?

Just went to Asus website and noticed a 6.31 (Win9X/Me) and 6.49 (Win2K) release. I downloaded them both but have yet to try it (I'm at my parents place with a notebook, power rig is at my apartment). Please post your feedback if you have used it. Thanks.

Post your 3D video card history

Well, I have to start with a S3 Virge.... 1.) Diamond Virge (lowest and crappiest Virge chipset, the first Virge that is suppose to do 3D). Only ran benchmarks with it. Never ran a game (3D) with it. 2. ATI PC2TV. Thought it can do better 3D than above. Guess it was a lie I fell for from...

Abit BE6_II give me 1 long beep follow of 2 short beep's and wont boot.

Sorry can't remember where it is, but that is definetly a 'missing' video card beep code. I have to put an upward force (for a tower case), applied on the top edge, furthest away from the VGA port of the card to make mine boot when the beep code sounds.
