MSI P67A-GD65 - No love?

P67A-C43 Probably the cheapest P67 MSI sells. No heatsinks on the MOSFETS and stable as a rock @ 4.3ghz with a 2500k.

i3-2100k is a nice all around processor, 8gb memory will keep you solid a good couple years, and the board will provide you room for upgradibility. Also you will take advantage of the integrated graphics built into the cpu. Western Digital Caviar Blue WD5000AAKX 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA...

Hearing that Battlefield 3's recommendation is 4gb. I think 4gb is peaking the limits these days especially since a clean install of Windows 7 eats up 1gb idle and I am sure when SP1 is installed, it will use more. Videocards seldom fluctuate in price due to memory costs but if RAM spikes to...

OK, scratch what I said above. But I hope you didn't order 2x2gb of ram on a 2 slot motherboard. You will be forced to replace all your ram if/when you need to upgrade. Make sure your Optical drive is SATA or it won't work on your new motherboard. Onboard sound is plenty sufficient.

I was thinking more along the lines of future proofing his other components. RAM is likely due for a dramatic price increase which means he might be paying 100 just for a stick of 4gb memory in the future. Then he will have a slightly slower processor that would bottleneck him next. Just like...
