PC Hardware Shops in Austin

Sadly I'm working every day up until I leave on the 3rd, otherwise a road trip to Dallas wouldn't be a bad idea. I checked Fry's online and they don't have any in stock at that store according to their site, but I have emailed them asking if they're getting any is. Cheers guys.

Laptop Incorrect Wi-Fi Location

Unable to boot

Booted to the recovery console and ran chkdsk before giving fix* commands a go. Qucik chkdsk found nothing but chkdsk /p found some errors. Uses chkdsk /r to fix them and the system booted straight after. Going to backup my boot partition to an external drive now. Also the HDD is pretty old so...

AVI File Creation

Perfect. I was using DVD Shrink but I didn't realise you can set start and end markers. That's just made my life much easier. Encoding a 60MB file is much easier than encoding a 1,000MB file. Cheers for the heads up.

Overclocking RAM

Hehe I imagine you're right. This morning with a cooler ambient air temp the CPU is idling at 39 degrees. Oh and I'm getting around the 14,100 mark in 3dmark 06. Need to do some tweaking now.
