I want to write a CAD program, what would be a good place to start. Libraries/frameworks etc? (C++ or Python)

Do something 2D first to get the hang of it. Shouldn’t take you more than a week or two to get a 2D editor going. I threw a rough Doom level editor together pretty quickly on the Mac, and I kind of want to write a 3D editor of some sort next.

What are your local job ads asking for? You can learn fancy new stuff but if the local companies need people to write ASP, VB6, or work with Microsoft Access, they won't interview you!

My first new vehicle

Those Goodyear Duratracs are awesome in the snow, keep them on there. Yup - when you can get $10-$12k off a new truck it's rarely worth it to buy used unless you go back 3-4 years. I'd throw a set of Bilstein 5100's on all 4 corners, ASAP. With the maximum height set on the front for 2" of lift.
