okay i have an abit kt7-raid, kt133 chipset motherboard...i just bought an 80 gig maxtor hard drive and cannot get windows to indentify it when i click on my computer.
i put it on my primary raid channel....i used an ata100 cable so that souldn't be the problem....my raid bios utilty recognizes...
okay, i notice sometimes that autorun works when i put a cd into my driver, but sometimes not....and yeah, the cd does have the autorun inf in it, i checked.
is there an option somewhere where i could check to see if autorun is enabled on my drive?

thanks guys for the replies. sorry if i wasn't clearer before, but i meant that when i harddrive hits 2.5gig's of space left, i get the low disk space warning...which in turn cancels all downloads in progress.

i got a 40gig HD, and when i download stuff they will get stopped once i hit 2.5gigs, and i get that "disc cleanup" exclamation. thats annoying, is there a way to turn off this feature? im in win98se.

im only using these becuase i have like 4 spindles worth of these generic ones. it never said anything on the package...i just tried burning it at 8 and it worked like a charm...so im thinking its incompatible. i tried another brand and it worked fine at 12.
