I understand the policy after having it explained multiple times. At the time when I first sent the card back to newegg, obviously I didn't. You can bet from now on the product goes straight back to the manufacturer first. I am not a retailer, and I don't know how the business relationship...

Wrong. I still think newegg was unfair, regardless of what ATOT says. Several people did post saying that they did not know a missing UPC used for a rebate would void the vendors warranty. So regardless of what ATOT thinks, this thread did contribute. Did yours?????
