To make motherboards smaller why don't they?

Is it possible to remove the expansion slots from the motherboard and have them on a separate board connected via a cable? I'm not talking about doing this to a existing board but to have one designed this way. Is it just cost prohibitive or is it due to some property of the way pci and agp work...

Invisible printing

Slammy1 - While a good possibility for the described problem, I have managed to remove the tape from the new cartridge. Peter - Ok, never have heard of the need to clean a new cartridge before. I will give this a try the next time I'm on site. I don't recall if a cleaning cycle is an option...

dell cd drive doesnt open

Don't hesitate to give Dell a call about this. They've got the absolute best support/tech repair out there in my opinion. Assuming you've got the standard onsite repair, and you contact them today, you'll have it fixed no later than Monday.

Need help finding monitor driver

I realize Doh! beat me to the recomendation but to save you from suffering through the advertisments that suffice for search results anymore, you'll find hansol monitor drivers here. Giving their list a quick look myself is it possible the monitor you have is acctually a 720ED?

Invisible printing

I've got a lexmark Z31 printer that behaves as if it's printing, but lays out no ink. It advances the paper, the heads move back and forth, sounds and looks like it's working but it's all bluster. I've changed out the cartriges for new ones, changed cables, connected to different computers all...

Windows 2000 Server Installation Guides

There use to be a nice guide for setting up a simple Windows 2000 domain on WinMag's web site, but since they're no longer in service can anyone recommend another that I could pass along to those asking? Thanks.

Incorrect welcomed user in forums

Anyone have any idea why the welcome message at the top of the forum catagory listing isn't the correct user name? Or is this just happening to me? The username will change if I logout and back in, but it still won't be mine. Any clues? Thanks

Multiple Win2K domain logins

Is it possible to log into a Win2K domain under the same account on two different machines? Thinking of changing my home network from a peer to peer to a domain structure. I'm interested in seeing how the roaming profiles work, but this got me wondering how it would handle, if it's even...
