hi
i was thinking about getting this combination.
but i thought before i did it would be good to check with the people who know.
i would be running XP SP2 Home, the most recent version you get when you buy from ZipZoomFly or Newegg.
primary application on this machine would be 3D...
yeah i'm using the monitor with an asus 3.0 overclocked to 3.3 with 4 Mushkin 2-2-2 512 DDR modules. works great there, going into the VGA connector on an MSI nVidia 5600 card, the one that won Tom's Hardware "card of the year" in 2003 or maybe 2002.
maybe i'll try using the DVI connector...
this makes no sense.
but i can only conclude that the DVI connector interface to my samsung and the DVI output (there are 2, with no VGA) on the video card ... are incompatible and should not get married.
i did a search for "LCD monitor DVI connector problems" on the web and newsgroups and...
I went shopping at a local PC shop named "comp1.com"
In addition to the Zalman, which i was surprised, the pictures & reviews i'd seen
didn't do it justice, it's BIG.
there was this big ass red-painted fan, bigger than 80 x 80. more like 4 1/4 inches
square, what's that, 25.4 x 4 plus a...
these are both AGP boards, I think.
PC Club has the Gigabyte on sale. I like the way the heat sink looks. I have a feeling it's a good video card, a step or 2 faster than my MSI 5600 & 5200 VTD cards.

also, a 3D authoring tool I'm...
this caught my eye. of course that could just mean that when it comes to spending money on PC stuff, "I'm easy" ...
Mushkin Black 2-2-2 2 x 512 @ Newegg ...

$216
this stuff any good ?
well it's an extra $50 or something ... could SATA RAID be added to the p5p ? or is it pointless because of bandwidth constraints assoc. with PCI bus ?
would love to see AT do an article on this subject - "spend $500 for an upgrade using a hybrid board, which allows me to bring along some...
so far i've managed to OC my abit ic7max3 from 3.0 to 3.3, and a shuttle 3.06 to 3.62.
i'd like to find a combination which is reliable at 4.0 GHz. with the P4 3.6 selling for about $400, i was thinking about building a system based on that (the P4 3.6).
LGA775 + 865P
i haven't seen...
Whoa !?! LADY Jessica !!! I will resolve to be a gentleman.
Actually, I think Deion Sanders had the right answer. "Both"
Most likely, the real answer is a paradox. Possibly (probably ?) beyond our comprehension.
But I do have a suggestion for a good activity to engage in, to prepare one's...
I was hoping somebody would bring up dog-poop.
What does dog poop have to do with propulsion ?
Well, if you wanted to fling something out the back of a space-ship FAST , what material would you choose ?
Poop seems like a logical choice. Obviously ( is that obvious ? ) it needs to have a...
No idea.
But that's a damn good question.
One perspective from my experience surfing intermediate size waves - during a wipe-out, when you're being pounded - if you can imagine yourself in that situation.
There you are going round and round. Eyes closed tight. Curled in the fetal position...
GREAT question !!!
A web-search using the terms "ion propulsion" will yield web pages describing functioning
prototypes. In other words, it's a done deal, the propulsion part.
Basic concept ... negatively charged particles in an electric field will experience
a force. In the diagram shown...
I looked on page 1 of the "official thread", didn't see this discussed. Hope it's allright to go ahead and ask my question.
I've been getting "remote procedure call - system shutdown in 60 seconds - 59 - 58 - 57 ..." etc.
with 10% overclock & Turbo
Then back to "standard" and "standard"...
I dug it up.
I'd really like to find out more about this.
Can I avoid this problem by using a 3.0 instead of a 3.2 GHz P4, an MSI FX5200 instead of an FX5600,
etc. ?
