Asus and BFG 9800GTX for $350 and $360

I found out the problem with F7 and F8 in my system. In case it can help someone, here is the solution... I was using RMClock and I had set the minimum multiplier to 4X. This works fine with F6 but freezes F7 and F8. Setting the minimum multiplier in RMClock to 5X solves the problem...

I have a problem with BIOS F7 and F8 with this board. When it boots to XP it finds the DVD drive as a new drive (it was already there before updating the BIOS) and that is the last thing I see before it freezes. In addition to the IDE DVD drive I have two HDD in Raid-0 on the nVidia SATA ports...

Same for me. CPU temps indicated by F8 bios seem to be OK, but MB temps are wrong (fixed at 1 C, whatever I do). This CPU runs really cool when C'n'Q is activated, although not as cool as yours. I can get 25 C in idle and 40 under load when the fans are at maximum, but not your temps.

BTW, you have two sticks of 512 Mb Kingston memory. Does it work at DDR400 when not overclocked? I have only one and I'm considering purchasing a second one but I don't really need it and I'm not sure if the increase in memory would be worthed a potential loss on O/C or having to set the speed...

Everything is at default or auto with the exception of VDDR +.1 and FSB 240 MHz. The memory is a single 512 Mb stick of Kingston DDR400 3-3-3 based on Hynix D43 that happens to run at 480 MHz. I'm considering upgrading to 1 Gb RAM but I've read that O/C is worse with more sticks, so that I'm not...

Also from Spain... Can anyone check what is your memory bandwidth with a simple tool as PC Wizard? It's free and downloadable from CPUID. My problem is that I switched from Kingston DDR333 to Kingston DDR400 and the memory bandwidth decreased from 2.7 MB/s to 1.7 MB/s. This is on a K8NS...
