DVD-Drive stopped reading CD-ROMs

Nope sure havn't. That itself is not much cheaper than a new drive. I am gonna check around town for one.

DVD-Drive stopped reading CD-ROMs

Ok. I have a Lite-On DVD Burner Model SOHW-1673S I noticed lately that it will not read any CD-ROMs... It will only read and write DVDs. I have another drive for CDs... but this is bothering me. Sure it does its main purpose, read and write DVDs.. but I would like to be able to use it for...

CD Drive problems..

Ok. My mom just went out and bought a CD-RW... I hooked it up and it shows up under My Computer and Device Manager, but when I try to put a CD in, it doesn't detect it or anything. I have tried a ton of CDs, and none of them are being detected. Once I close the drive with the disk in it, it just...

Computer keeps restarting

I believe I had that problem before, and I have a VIA chipset mobo. I believe I turned off error reporting or something like that. Also, my videocard fan died not long after that, so I bought a new one, and havn't had a problem since then of any kind.. So that could also be the reason, overheating.

754 or 939... upgrade

Thanks guys. Yeah I plan on upgrading my videocard as well. It seems to me that the PCI-Express cards are a little cheaper.. eitherway, 9700 Pro is just outdated. My processor is decent, but definately not great by any means. I will be upgrading soon enough.

754 or 939... upgrade

Athlon 64 2800 ATI Radeon 9700 Pro 768MB PC3200 Yeah I play games.. not many games that I want to play right now, but there are some that don't run really smooth. So yeah, for gaming. Budget.. not much of one right now, but right after I pay for some college, I will have some.

Ok. I have an Athlon XP 2800+ 754...... Should I upgrade my motherboard and get a new processor with 939.. Or is it fine to just upgrade my processor? I don't want to upgrade my processor if it is not going to do much good cause I am on 754. Also.. my motherboard is AGP only.. So if...

Videocard to Monitor Help

Ah ok. Thanks man. At times, I thought I wasn't getting as much FPS as I thought I should get.. I only have a 9700 Pro though, sort of old.

For the past 4 years.. I have had my computer. I have made upgrades along the way, but anyway. My motherboard does not have onboard video, I use a seperate video card. All of this time, I have been plugging my monitor into my motherboard. It has worked fine, but everybody I ask say they plug...

AC ATi Silencer 4 Rev 1 vrs. 2

Just got through installing ver3... I don't know the difference between them all.. but I like this one so far. Very quiet.. I didn't know it was my videocard fan making all the noise.. I don't hear a thing now.

Ah ok. Well, this doesn't sound too hard. Can't be any harder than putting on a CPU fan for your first time.. atleast for me it was hard.
