Like you my $350 Sony DRU500a is now outclassed by $71 Sony DW D22A,a 16x,Dual layer burner. Is life grand....:)

Khypermedia DVD+R 25pk for only 9.99 at OM

The majority of the Khypermedia DVD is real crap,their cdr is okay,but the DVD,well,unless you like wasting your money,stay away from them like the plague.With the price of Ritek,and Memorex going down to a reasonable level,why even mess with this junk? You've been warned

My brother has the 8X Plextor,and he tells me that the 4x Memorex burn at 8x in that machine,as for the other question of quality,i have a first generation Sony (DRU-500A,2.0f),and they burn consistently at 4x. I got the Staples deal at 10 for $10,so I snatched the last 5 boxes......:) A look...

DVDShrink 3.1.6 released Feb 23rd..DVD backup freeware

Mr. Bass,I don't know if you've noticed this with the latest version (and not that it's your fault) but i've noticed a sort of rippling effect when I ran 'Out Of Time' (Denzel Washington) thru that 3.1,leaving all menus and what have you intact. That is, when it 's being played back ,a rippling...

The Pioneer A06/106 can be found at www.newegg.com or www.compusa.com for just over $100,and has a wide range of media compatibilty,and is a dual format burner. This is the one to get.......:)

Actually,I was in BB yesterday,and from my many visits,these and Memorex normally go for around $50 for 25,and $100 for 50,minus and plus 'R'

Must be pushed by 321 studios,since nowadays,there are so many cheaper (and better) DVD burning solutions.so I see this as a solution to drum up some business...:(
