Upgrade?

Hi, I have an AMD x2-3800 939 @2.0Ghz(stock) , 2gb ram ddr400 and an ATI HD4850 512mb. I play at 1280x1024. I can play Crysis and Far Cry 2 but sometimes it slows a bit too much. GTA IV is unplayable or almost... Do you think an upgrade in CPU would allow me too have a better experience...

Thanks for the input. Well when I say 5 years it doesn't mean I won't be upgrading if necessary especially the GPU. But I guess I won't game that much by that time :). My main doubt is about the motherboard. Any big difference between i43 and i45? What would you recommend? A cheaper one?

About the GPU I'm thinking about the GTS 250 or the less expensive HD 4770. I know the GTS 250 is a bit better but also 35? more expensive.

330 ? wich should be about 400-420$ because components are more expensive here. BTW the AMD components cost 333? and the Intel components cost 300?
