Thanks a lot for clarifying things guys. One last question: does eSATA perform significantly better than USB 2.0? I don't wanna know the nominal speed rates only, but actual user experience.. USB 2.0 seems fast enough for me, considering I will not be using that HD for heavy video editing or...

Hey, tnx for the reply. Yep, that could be the reason. But i have 2 different windows installations on this machine, 4 usb ports, and 5 usb devices i'm plugging constantly (besides the 3 i already mentioned, i use a USB hub to also plug a midi keyboard, an external hard drive and ipod/camera)...

Wow, that's a whole $150 cheaper than Newegg.. Are they refurbished? There must be some explanation for such a huge difference in price, considering Newegg is usually so competitive..

x2 4200 + asus a8v deluxe == unknown cpu

man, thats JUST what i thought. and heres the GREAT news: i have no one to do that for me! i dont know anybody yet in the city where i currently live, cause i only moved here recently. how CRAPPY is this? how can asus sell you a goddamn motherboard that is said to support the goddamn CPU...
