Memory running at 400mhz instead of 800

System: DFI Lanparty 790, AMD phenom 9550, two HD radeon 3870's in Xfire, 4gb A-DATA ram, and 550w PSU. Can anyone help me? I have 4gb of A-DATA RAM at 800 Mhz dual channel settings. But when I run AMDOverdrive, it states that my RAM is at ~400 mhz and only running in single channel mode. It...

Vista media center - DVD navigation menu slow with remote

mpilchfamily - Everything other than the DVD menu works fine, meaning I can easily scroll through the recorded shows, audio, even dvd playback is fine, just the menus that seem to give me problems. RadiclDreamer - got a tip on how to do that?

uTorrent is AMAZING!

utorrent is pretty sweet. I was using peer guardian, but seems to have stopped working - is there something like it that mates well with utorrent?

Video card for an HTPC

Are you going to do any HD TV? I've got about the box (an old IBM S50) with a PCI video card that works great for recording and playing back standard analog TV. It even handles DVDs fine, but I'd never try to give it and HD.

Technet Plus Direct FREE w/ Exam Insurance purchase

labgeek - how long did it take you to get your technet notification? I signed up, bought the voucher, and passed my exam (got my MCSA) on Jan 25th. Called microsoft, and they said that I'll get an email in two weeks.

N0cmonkey - could you give more info? I've used checkpoint vpn-1 (as an end user - not an admin) and it seemed to work. I looked here: http://www.checkpoint.com/products/firewall-1/index.html and was surprised by the lack of information Is this a web appliance, or a software solution...

Oh, I forgot, we have a cisco catalyst 2629 as the router. We also have about 15 public IP's that we need to route and port forward around our internal network, so the ability to control the routing is important.

VPN help video conferencing?

I would think that it would hurt total bandwidth. You are going over your network to the internet - that network has X amount of usage. You would then create a vpn and run that vpn over the same network. This will not reduce the amount of usage already on your network. VPN's have...

Setting up VPN

change your home network to 10.x.x.x. Should be as simple as logging into your router, and changing it's IP address, then the dhcp range. Reboot everyone and it should work
