Weird MS Word 07 bug

This one is weird. In MS Word if I'm in the home pane, typing text into the document is normal, letters appear as I type them. When I switch to the review pane, for some reason everything slows down and there's a really obnoxious lag between what I type and what's on the screen (like a full word...

Free note-taking software?

Not free, but Microsoft OneNote is worth every penny. I've used it for my law classes all year long. The "home and student' edition is $59 on newegg, but you might be able to get an even better educational discount through your school.

Poor iTunes performance

Watching the Superbowl in HD

I asked my friend to look into it with his neighbors and see if they could pick up the channel without the HD box. If not, what's the easiest/cheapest way to get the OTA signal? We're pretty close to the broadcast location.

Picked up a 50" Panasonic Plasma last week

Is 1080p > 720p the only thing you write in these threads? There is absolutely no way a Westinghouse LCD (1080 or otherwise) is keeping up with a non-defective properly calibrated Panasonic plasma. It sounds like you've either got the LCD in torch mode and it's fooling your eyes into...

Computer won't boot

I shrunk the partition containing XP, reformatted the remaining space and installed another OS. At this point the system hangs after the post and neither OS will load. First, how do I fix this to at least get back into XP, and then what should I do to get some kind of bootloader menu to select...

Plasma image burn in

Thanks for the responses guys, I just wanted to make sure I didn't do anything dumb with my gorgeous new tv. I've calibrated the contrast and I've mostly been watching full screen HD on it so far, so it sounds like the burn in potential is reduced. I still won't have anything static for more...
