TV-out shears?

Ig - I think my video card is the same way. I guess I just didn't notice until now. :confused: So anyway, I did some working around in the Display control panel and got hotkeys rigged to toggle between Monitor-primary/TV-secondary or TV-primary/Monitor-secondary. Works great. Thanks! ^_^

I don't think I've messed with the settings... any messing I have done has already been reverted to factory defaults. The video plays fine on the computer monitor without shearing. EDIT: I reverted the flicker removal to factory default (under Display -> Advanced -> Displays -> TV) and it...

Best TV-out card, radeon 7500?

I'm using a Radeon 8500LE (Guillemot 3d Prophet FDX 8500LE 64mb) card and the TV-out is great once you pop in the latest drivers. ^_^

PC133 memory in PC100 motherboard

Sounds like it'll work to me. From what I understand, problems come up when you put in RAM that is slower than the motherboard speed (ie: 100mhz RAM on a 133 motherboard). Correct me if I'm wrong. ^_^;;;

Plextor vs. Lite-On...please read before rolling eyes!

I've used both Lite-On drives and Plextor drives, you're set either way. My brother's computer has a Plextor 12x burner (back when 12x cost ~$230 ) and my current rig has a 24x Lite-On. Both work fantastic. One thing to consider: What software comes with each drive? My Lite-On came with...

Is it possible to get TV-out on a NON TV-out Graffic card.

It IS possible to have a TV out hooked up to a non-TV out video card. I did it with my Geforce2MX and it worked. What you'll probably have to do is to buy a separate PC-to-TV scan converter module. I don't know the website for it, but I bought a 'Grandtec UltiMate 2000' converter. The way it...

LNE100TX NIC - XP compatible?

I see... well, last I checked, the NIC is working a lot better now. A lot better. If this thing still isn't working right, I have not ruled out buying a whole new NIC all together. But again, it's working better for now.

I'm not at my main computer either (I'm on vacation with a laptop), but this 'overscan' sounds like the trick. When I get home from vacation, I'll take a look and let ya know how it works.

Theater mode was already enabled, and the 16:9 ratio clips were still stretching. Disabling theater mode would cause it to not output video at all... it'd just be empty black space on the TV. What's this 'overscan'?

The more I work with this thing, the more I'm confused... oddly enough, I haven't had any disconnect errors when leaving my computer online the past two nights. Not a one. Zip. IRC downloads that take 3+ hours go fine (unless the person I'm downloading from leaves, but there's no helping...

I'm using a Hercules 3d Prophet FDX 8500LE card. While I'm very pleased with the video quality on the TV-out, there is one problem that's kind of... well, irritating. Sometimes. Whenever you watch a video clip (DivX, MPG, AVI, etc) the image outputted to TV will automatically go full-screen...
